During one week of each semester, instructors will evaluate progress of every 5th student, by offering the student chances to do “the next step”. They will evaluate the student’s progress during their session together, and using a rubric will decide whether the student improved or did not improve. For each other math course, we will compare success rates of students taking Math 102 versus students not taking Math 102. At least 70% of students will improve during the evaluated session. 2. Students will increase their ability to succeed in their main math course. Students taking Math 102 will succeed at higher rates than those not taking Math 102. You may have more (or fewer) than five outcomes. Attach separate pages as needed. 02/14 revised
