MATH 210 - Homework #2 - Due Monday, 2/11/08
All homework that is “due Monday” is actually due by 4:30 PM on Tuesday
in my office (SCIC 120). (I leave at 4:30 and need to take it home to grade!)






Only the bold starred (*) problems will be graded. Others may be submitted if you wish.
All homework assignments should be neat and well organized.
Please staple multiple pages and do not submit papers with ragged edges (e.g., from spiral
notebooks).
Each problem should include a brief problem statement, all needed calculations and a
complete, well-written conclusion.
All homework problems should be done by hand unless the assignment specifically
instructs you to use SPSS.
Read Section 1.2 - pp. 40–46
p. 56 - #41, 46*, 47*, 49*
 Be sure to show all your calculations.

Lab Session – Meet in SCIC 142 at 12:30 and 2:00.

Read Section 1.2 - pp. 46–56
p. 56 - #42*, 43, 44*, 45 50*
 In #42 and 44 also make a boxplot of the data; use a modified boxplot if any
outliers are determined via the 1.5xIQR Rule.
 In #44b just resubmit the histogram you already made for #24b in HW #1.
