Zimicki-Bowditch This is a List of Design Goals for this Aircraft. 1. Heavy lift light-weight airframe. 2. Large volume internal cargo bay. 3. Simple construction. 4. Compact internal design. 5. Small efficient engine (direct contradiction to number 1). 6. Short take-off run (direct contradiction to number 5). 7. Short landing on rough terrain (direct contradiction to number 9). 8. Efficient flight for good endurance (direct contradiction to numbers 1 and 2). 9. Retractable light-weight landing gear (direct contradiction to numbers 3 and 4). 10. Good looks…well we can try at least (direct contradiction to numbers 1-7). 3065 North Ave. Burlington VT, 05401 3065 North Ave. Nathaniel Kemp, 802-233-0999 Burlington VT, 05401 natedogg434@juno.com Nathaniel Kemp, 802-233-0999 natedogg434@juno.com ± .001 in. on size, shape, and alignment ± .0005 in. ± .0005 in. The Blended Wing The camera bay is of modular design and can accommodate anything from cameras to paintball dispensers, or can be used with traditional bomb bay doors to drop anything that will fit. Camera Platform The airframe was designed around a large “box” (shown in green) in which a 35mm camera can be mounted for airborne landscape photography. The result was a modular cargo bay of 190 cubic inches in an aircraft with only a 48-inch wing span.
