Point in PIE Example: Although I’ve learned a lot of useful skills this quarter, understanding process writing and quote sandwiches has been the most valuable to my success as a writer. METAPHOR Part 1: BRAINSTORM: how would you describe your individual writing process? Part 2: Think of a METAPHOR that reflects your writing process. For example: My writing is scattered like leaves in the fall, but learning how to brainstorm and write PIE paragraphs has become my rake. Part 3: Develop your ideas into a PIE Paragraph that uses a METAPHOR to describe your individual writing process.
