Michael Gitlin, an Assistant Professor of Film and Media at Hunter College, has been awarded a 2006 Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation for exceptional achievement in film and video. This year 187 United States and Canadian Fellows were chosen from 2,887 applicants for awards totaling $7,500,000.
