 FIELD TRIP TO SHRINER’S CIRCUS
April 20, 21, and 22, 2016
CANCELLED
Due to the inclement weather, all field trips
scheduled for Wednesday thru Friday of this week
have been canceled.
 Absences Due to the Inclement
Weather are Excused
Students who were absent this week due to
transportation and safety issues caused by the flood
will be excused. Parents must send a note in the
TIGER folder to inform the school or complete the
excused absence form that is sent home to parents
when students are absent.
APRIL REWARDS
FOR STUDENTS WITH PERFECT ATTENDANCE!
School attendance plays an important role in ensuring
that your child receives quality education during the
school year. Parents of students who have perfect
attendance for the entire month of April will be
able to pick up their voucher for free groceries in
the main office April 22, 2016 from 9:30 am until
2:00 pm. Students with perfect attendance will
also be given tickets to attend a very special
Mother’s Day event May 5, 2016,
Attention Fonwood
Families!
All Fonwood cubs will take End-of-Year tests from April
20 through May 8. We will give a small portion of the test
each day. Your Fonwood cub must be in school so that
we can give the test to find out how prepared they are for
Kindergarten. Please schedule all doctor and dentist
appointments for Saturdays or after school. Let’s work
for perfect attendance from now until the end of the year.
PK-3 and PK-4 PRE-REGISTRATION
Going on NOW!
Students must be 3 years old or 4 years old by
September 1, 2016 to be eligible. COME AND PICK UP A

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Spring Carnival is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it is a
wonderful opportunity for our families and friends to show
support for the school. We are asking for donations to make
this carnival a spectacular event for our students! Your
donations will help enrich our students’ learning experience as
the funds raised at the Spring Carnival will be used for
classroom and campus improvements. Donations may be
dropped off in the office from now until the carnival.

entitled “¡Bailamos! (Let’s Dance!) will be

come and watch their students perform.

End-Of-Year Promotion Ceremonies and Academic Parent Teacher Team (APTT) Meeting
Two important events to close this school year are coming up next month! Each Fonwood Cub will receive three (3) admission
tickets for their families to attend the End-Of-Year activities at Fonwood. Parents and family members must present a ticket at the
door to be able to attend. No exceptions! Tickets will be sent home with students on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 , so be sure to
check your students’ T.I.G.E.R. folder. More details will come as we approach this special day!
