Your line manager will inform you of your yearly Appraisal Meeting date. You should be given
at least 2 weeks’ notice to give time to prepare.
The Appraisee and Appraiser should keep a copy of Section 1 for future reference (eg next
year’s Appraisal)

that meeting.

Please refer to last year’s Appraisal Agreement and any priorities/objectives set for this member of staff to achieve during the past year. In addition you
could refer to the member of staff’s staff development record

Please agree the main points under each of the headings of Section 3 during the Appraisal
Meeting.
It is recommended that at least a week is given to reflect on the draft Annual Appraisal
Agreement, but that it should be completed/signed within two weeks’ of the Appraisal
Meeting.
If agreement cannot be reached in the finalisation of this Annual Appraisal Agreement please
liaise with the appropriate senior member of staff as identified in your unit's appraisal plan.
A copy of the Annual Appraisal Agreement/Section 3 should be kept by the Appraisee and
Appraiser for future reference (eg on-going reviews throughout the year, next year’s appraisal
preparation).
You should refer to your unit’s appraisal plan to know who must receive a copy of the
completed Annual Appraisal Agreement (Section 3).
