Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the university. The PeopleSoft EPM Administrator is responsible for managing the PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) infrastructure, providing routine technical administrative support for servers, developing computer scripts and applications, and documenting procedures and server configuration information. The EPM Administrator reports to the Manager, Information and Database Administration in Information Technology. 2. List the major responsibilities, including percentage of time devoted to each. Level of Freedom: The PeopleSoft EPM Administrator is responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of the EPM PeopleSoft infrastructure. Within established protocols and PeopleSoft best practices, autonomy Position Description – Administrator, PeopleSoft EPM Page 3 and independent action are required to work effectively with System Computing Services, where the hardware is housed. The EPM administrator makes decisions in the day-to-day activities related to security, managing systems at high performance levels and ensuring reliability. The Manager, Information and Database Administration is consulted regarding ongoing issues, concerns and recommendations regarding equipment and/or software purchases. Impact: Decisions affect the stability, performance, and integrity of the system, having long reaching effects for the entire student body. Daily administration of the system affects faculty and staff throughout the university. If the EPM Administrator is not performing their duties then access to business intelligence data will be impaired. Deans and executive leadership rely on this data in their strategic and operational planning. 4.
