SPS DC tie Scheduling Practice Due to the different default ramp durations in the WECC region and the Eastern Interconnection, the SPS balancing authority is seeing a conflict that is causing fluctuations in the net scheduled interchange. Starting on 9/18/2006 we will make notifications if the duration profiles are not specified on the tags involving transactions scheduled across the DC ties. Effective on 10/1/2006, SPS will only accept tags involving transactions scheduled across the DC ties that have a ramp duration profile designated on the tag. This is to prevent a conflict in the default ramp rates that will impact the scheduled interchange. The POR and POD that this practice will impact are as follows: Eddy BLKW Lam345
