Department

Tips for Success in This course

This course is very detailed in nature so class attendance is highly recommended. I encourage you to obtain the e‐mail addresses and phone numbers of several other students who you could share notes and information with in case you become ill and cannot attend. You are still responsible for any work missed.

This course may require you to put in a significant amount of time outside of class. As with most university level courses the general rule of thumb is for every hour spent in class you should set aside at least two hours outside of class to master the material. It may take some of you more time than others depending on your comfort level with the subject matter.

This course uses lectures, worksheets, assignments, and projects to teach you the material. Lectures are not the time for you to complete your worksheets or assignments. These worksheets are not very difficult or time consuming but are important when it comes to learning the material.

Violators of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action. Cheating will not be tolerated. It will result in a FAILING grade for the course.

In keeping with UVU policy, evidence of academic dishonesty may result in a failing grade in the course and disciplinary review by the college. Additional information on this topic is published in the student handbook and is available on the UVU website.
