highlighting personal qualities which emphasize why you should be considered for a SCE scholarship.
ATTACH A RESUME which describes your work and/or community service experience
and extracurricular involvement, including leadership positions held.
UMKC FIRST Robotics & Project Lead the Way Scholarship
Were you a FIRST Robotics participant? ☐ YES ☐ NO
Were you a Project Lead the Way participant? ☐ YES ☐ NO
If you answered YES to either question above and would like to be
considered for this scholarship, please submit a letter of reference
from your Robotics Team Advisor or PLTW Instructor.
The letter should address participation and performance, leadership
skills, extracurricular involvement and potential for success in
an engineering or computer science discipline. It should be
submitted with the completed application.
Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships
These scholarships provide tuition & book expenses for the selected
students for up to eight semesters as long as the students maintain
full-time status and 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA in SCE majors.
The KCP&L Scholarship is provided to a student in
Mechanical or Electrical & Computer Engineering.
The Dean’s High Achievement Scholarship is provided
to a student in Civil Engineering, Computer Science
or Information Technology.
Scholarship Qualifications

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with an ACT score of 25 or
higher.

Demonstrated co-curricular and community service and
leadership capabilities.
