Friends of the University Libraries Authors and Artists Recognition The Friends of the University Libraries is an organization that supports the programs and activities of the University Libraries, archives, and special collections. Membership in The Friends is voluntary and open to all interested individuals. Guiding Principle for Authors and Artists Recognition The scholarly and creative achievements of active and retired Bowling Green State University faculty and staff extend the bodies of knowledge in academic disciplines, contribute to the culture, and enhance the reputation of the University. The Friends of the University Libraries honor BGSU faculty and staff members for their scholarly publications and artistic achievements through the annual Authors and Artists Recognition Program and Reception. Purpose The purpose of the Authors and Artists Recognition Program and Reception is to publicly express appreciation to BGSU authors and artists for their important contributions to their disciplines, the culture, and the University.
