Course title: Using Statistics in Sociology

Current prerequisites: MATH 109 or 116 or equivalent.

Proposed prerequisites: MATH 109 or MATH 116 or MATH 183 or equivalent.
4.
Rationale for the revision of prerequisites: Based upon the existing course description
for MATH 183, Introductory Statistics, this course will adequately prepare our majors for
SOCL 300 to the same degree as existing prerequisites.
5.
Effect on completion of major/minor sequence: The inclusion of an additional
prerequisite will not adversely affect the completion of the sociology major.
