Meeting Minutes
April 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

Meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m.
Secretary Report (Approval of Minutes)
 Y. Flores motioned to approve the minutes. T. Mayo seconded. March minutes were approved.
Treasurer Report - F. Olson
 There was one expense in March. The May awards meeting will be the biggest upcoming expense. The carry
forward will need to be used for the luncheon. The Foundation account continues to grow.
Guest Speaker:
 Captain Tim James, Updates on University Safety Plan
o Emergency management, concentrated efforts on emergency preparedness.
o Working on Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP)
o Documents are posted on Web site.
o Comprehensive Emergency Action Plan – each unit is working on a plan, who is in charge of each area.
o BERT – Building emergency response team.
o Individual plans are not put on line, as they are not public knowledge.
o After a unit’s plan is submitted, each unit will meet for training and drills. There will be one drill with every
building each year.

Administrative Staff Council – Emily Monago
 Two guest speakers.
o Vicky Kulicke, Title IX Deputy Coordinator
o Andrea Depinet, Director of Campus Services
 Reviewed Charter and by-laws.
 Discussed Spring Reception that will be held on April 24.
Announcements
 Sandra Heck is the new Human Resources Benefits Manager.
Old Business
 CSC award ceremony set up will be at 9:30 a.m. on May 21 in 101 Olscamp.
o D. Lowery motioned for pizza for lunch; M. Lucy seconded; motion carried.
o K. Schwab has contacted the photographer.
o Colors will be white and orange.
o G. Houtz has updated the powerpoint.
o L. Bowen will send the invitations.
o
President Mazey has been invited.
CSC Scholarship Recipients
 J. Schroeder presented the list of CSC scholarship winners for 2014.
 The scholarship committee met on Monday, April 7 and reviewed each candidate. All of the candidates were very
qualified and well deserving.
 M. Lucy motioned to accept the recommended scholarship recipients. J. Moore seconded. Motion was passed.
Salary Proposal – Steve Lashaway, Chair Salary Compensation Committee
 Steve presented the Salary Compensation Committee’s recommendations. A motion was made by J. Moore to
accept the proposal with amendments. K. Dean seconded. Motion was passed.
Fee Waiver Proposal – Faith Olson
 Faith presented the fee waiver proposal. Discussions and recommendations were made. F. Olson will take the
recommendations to the AROC Committee.
Committee Reports
 Due to lack of time to discuss committee reports, Gail asked that the reports be emailed to her.
