World War 2 Web Research Project You will work in groups of three on a multiple tiered project on World War Two. Below you will see your roles for this project. Please start by determining who will be responsible for doing what in each group as this is how each will be graded in part. Your task is to put together a newscast on one of the following battles of World War 2. Your job is to present the information to a general audience ensuring they understand the importance of the battle in the overall context of the war. This is to be done documentary style, not in the moment. Each group will be responsible for the following products: 1. Timeline of events for your battle (comprehensive…daily if needed) (15 points) 2. Map of the event (created by the group) (15 points) 3. Newscast script with sourcing to include at minimum 15 graphics (photos/charts/maps etc) (15 points) 4. Visual presentation (at least 15 graphics) (15 points) 5. Works consulted page (all items used MUST be sourced) (5 points) ROLES: The Journalist. Your job is to anchor the newscast. To do this you must take notes on what you find, documenting your sources. You will then write and present the anchor script, introducing the other members of the team as you go along. The Photographer. Your job is to find and print photos and other graphics that illustrate the war. For each graphic you need to write a caption that explains who, what, where, and when. You will be presenting the graphics throughout the newscast. You need to provide photo captions for the historian’s script. The photos can be put together in a power point for your presentation. The Historian. Your job is to present a timeline for each of the major events studied, and an overall timeline linking all of these events.
