Awards are for travel from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016. All monies must be disbursed by June 30, 2016. GENERAL GUIDELINES 1. EDIT applications are available online at http://www.lagcc.cuny.edu/edit/ 2. If you are presenting at a conference it is suggested you apply to Academic Affairs FIRST for reimbursement, and then apply for an EDIT Grant. This should result in recovering most of your expenses. Academic Affairs covers 40% of allowable expenses for conference presentations and/or serving as chair of a panel. Contact Bruce Hoffacker for more information. 3. All applications must be accompanied by documentation verifying activities. This would include copies of a acceptance letter to present at a conference or participate in professional development activities, and conference program (your panel listing). If you travel by plane, train, or bus, retain your ticket or boarding pass for submission to Academic Affairs and EDIT as proof of travel. Highlight your name and or title of presentation on all supporting documents. 4. All applications must be accompanied by receipts verifying expenses listed in your budget. Academic Affairs requires ORIGINAL receipts which should be submitted to your designated department travel liaison. As a result, submit original receipts to Academic Affairs and provide copies of receipts in your EDIT application. Highlight expenses on receipts that are included in your budget. 5. EDIT only considers the expenses of the applicant. If you are sharing expenses (hotel room, etc.), or traveling with others, please adjust your budget accordingly and make specific references to this in the notes section (see Budget) of the application. 6. If your project involves human subjects, check with IRB to learn if you are required to obtain a statement of clearance/permission from the IRB, if so this statement should be included in your application.
