Mission Statement
The Grounds Department, in a supporting service roll, aims to meet the needs of the University by maintaining turf, landscapes and outdoor facilities in an attractive usable condition.
Goal - Provide an aesthetically pleasing environment in which students can interact while pursuing their educational goals.
Methods of Assessment
1. Conduct regular on-site inspection of campus grounds.
2. Maintain contact with other landscape professionals for comparing methods.
3. Conduct a student and faculty survey.
Goal - Strive to provide outdoor facilities where athletes and all students can pursue their choices of physical activities.
Methods of Assessment
1. Conduct regular on - site inspection of facilities.
2. Maintain dialog with coaching staff and other student groups about needs or improvements.
3. Provide a questionnaire to coaches and athletes to obtain feedback information.
Goal - Seek to maintain a safe environment for pedestrian and vehicular traffic on sidewalks, streets and in p lots.
Methods of Assessment
1. Conduct regular on - site inspection of walks and pavement using an inspection form.
2. Analyze campus safety reports received from the University Safety Officer and
LUPD.
