All Bush students have already seen the play. The chairs need to be reserved for parents, grandparents, and other relatives. There will also not be room for strollers, as this is a crowded event. EVERY SUMMER HAS A STORY! HISD and Bush Elementary want to encourage our students to continue reading over the summer by participating in the district’s summer reading program, Every Summer Has a Story. Again this year, HISD students will have access to an online reading program, MyOn, where each student has access to thousands of ebooks that are just right for them. Be sure you keep track of all of the books you read, online or not, on your summer reading log. Students who read at least ten books, record the titles on the back of the Every Summer Has a Story reading log, and return the completed and signed certificate to their teacher when they return to school in the fall will be named a Summer Reading Superstar. Special incentives will be awarded at Bush next fall. Ms. Rose plans to read at least 20 books on her reading level this summer. Her challenge to you is to see if you can equal or beat 20 books!
