Cédric Levy Bencheton, ENISA Dr. Cédric LÉVY‐BENCHETON is an expert in cyber security at ENISA, the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (www.enisa.europa.eu). His interests focus on the protection of smart infrastructures and critical systems, resilience and multi‐stakeholders coordination. He is currently involved several projects on these topics (transport, smart cities, Internet of things). Previously, Dr. Cédric LÉVY‐BENCHETON has designed critical networks for public transport. He was also a researcher in telecommunications. Dr. Cédric LÉVY‐BENCHETON has obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University Lyon in 2011. François Ennesser, Gemalto Francois Ennesser has been involved in embedded secure applications development and standardization activities since 1999, first with Bull CP8 and then with Schlumberger Systems, Axalto and Gemalto. He participated to the definition of secure over‐the‐air protocols for remote management of secure elements and contributed to the definition of an enhanced communication interface for smart cards. He initiated and chaired the initial definition of the “Inter‐Chip USB” low power embedded adaptation of the USB interface within the USB Implementers Forum. He has been focusing on Machine to Machine standardization since 2008 and is currently chairing the Security Working Group of the oneM2M partnership Project. He contributes to EU level initiatives on Smart Grids with a focus on critical infrastructure protection and privacy preservation. He holds a French Engineer's degree from ESIEE and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Herve Ganem, Gemalto Herve Ganem is currently serving as a system architect at Gemalto. In this role he has been involved over the last few years in several IOT related research projects in the area of smart grids and smart cities, focusing more specifically upon the underlying security issues. Herve holds a Phd in satellite communications from Essex University (UK), and a Maitrise de Mathematiques from Paris VII university. He also completed engineering studies at Ecole Superieure d’Ingénieurs en Electronique et d’Electrotechnique in Paris. Sebastian Hans, Oracle Sebastian Hans has been a Principal Member of Technical Staff with Sun Microsystems and ORACLE for the past 17 years. He currently is responsible for IoT/M2M and smart card standardization activities. While at Sun Microsystems Inc, Mr. Hans has also worked in business development within the telecommunications market and has driven advanced pilot projects for the deployment of Java Card in the banking, insurance and mobile communication markets. Mr. Hans represents ORACLE in ETSI SCP, 3GPP CT6 and oneM2M he is the Vice Chair of ETSI SCP TEC. Mr. Hans has served as a GlobalPlatform Board Director since 2007 and is the chairman of the IoT Task Force of GlobalPlatform. Geoffrey Riggs, European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS) Geoffrey Riggs is the Director of Marketing Communications for the European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS). In this role he is responsible for developing and managing the strategic communications plans & messaging for ENCS as well as overseeing all of the marketing and public relations activities. Prior to working at ENCS, Geoffrey held a similar role at Elster, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart meter devices and solutions. He also has extensive experience in Energy/Utility, M2M/IoT and Telecommunications industries. He has worked for more than 10 years in Europe and prior to that worked in the USA for advertising and public relations agencies. Olivier Rochon, Itron Olivier Rochon is leading the EMEA security engineering team at Itron Inc, a global technology company delivering solutions to utilities for energy/water measurement, management and for the smart grid. He is in charge of integrating Security Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities into Itron’s product development processes, including threat modelling and pen testing He is involved in several European standardization committees in the field of information security such as CENELEC TC13, ESMIG Security & Privacy WG, SMCG AHP&S, IEC ACSEC and IEC62056 (DLMS UA). His fields of expertise are information security, Smart Metering solutions, communication protocols/networks and data collection/management systems. He was previously Solution Consultant for Smart metering systems and product management director. He is member of the European project Crisalis’s advisory board aimed at improving the security of critical infrastructures (http://www.crisalis‐project.eu/board) and of the IEC Advisory Committee on Information Security and Data Privacy (ACSEC). He has several years of experience in the energy metering, networks and communications areas. He is graduated from the French “Ecole d’Ingénieurs” Ecole Centrale Marseille in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. Shane Rooney, GSMA Shane Rooney is an Executive Director at the GSMA on the Connected Living Programme. Bringing together strategies and synergies across the M2M verticals and the wider IoT ecosystems, he has a wealth of experience in Mobile Communications particularly in Enterprise Solutions and M2M having global experience in a number of operators including Etisalat , Vodafone and Hutchison. In addition he worked at Ford Motor Company innovating and pioneering Telematic Solutions and developing new revenue opportunities. He also been involved in some new innovative M2M companies working on prestigious projects with Motorola, Zumtobel and Aston Martin. He holds a PhD in Communications Engineering from Lancaster University and Business Marketing from IMD Switzerland. Bengt Sahlin, Ericsson Bengt Sahlin has an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Aalto University (former Helsinki University of Technology (TKK)). At TKK, he has also lectured on Modern Data Communications as well as on DNS and DNS security. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Bengt has worked in the fields of data‐ and telecommunications for 19 years, mostly with security aspects. In 2000 he joined Ericsson where he has worked on mobile systems security and product security. He was also technical coordinator for Ericsson's security implementation projects, and is a manager of a security research group within Ericsson. Bengt Sahlin was 3GPP TSG SA WG3 chairman 2010‐2013." Ian Smith, GSMA Ian is a Technologist working for the GSM Association and is currently responsible for the GSMA’s IoT Security Guidelines. Prior to this Ian led the delivery of the GSMA Connection Efficiency Guidelines and the GSMA Embedded SIM Remote Provisioning Technical Specifications. Prior to joining the GSMA, Ian has held several senior technical positions within network operators including Hutchison and Orange where he oversaw the design and development of the first commercial 3G devices. More recently Ian has worked with companies such as Apple, Google and Microsoft to optimise the development of network efficient applications and services. Ian holds a B.Eng. with joint honours in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from Aston University, UK. Willem Strabbing, ESMIG Willem Strabbing is Managing Director of the European Smart Meter Industry Group (ESMIG). In this position he is responsible for the ESMIG organisation, its strategy and the representation of ESMIG in Brussels. Before joining ESMIG, Mr Strabbing was manager of the unit Intelligent Networks and Communication of KEMA Consulting. Mr. Strabbing has more than 25 years experience in advanced computer applications related to process automation. The development European strategies related to the implementation of Smart Meters and Consumer Energy Management Systems on both political and technical level currently are in the main focus of Mr. Strabbing’s work. He is involved in various discussions with stakeholders in Europe regarding these issues Mr Strabbing represents ESMIG in the Smart Meter/Grid Coordination Groups and the Smart Grid Task Force. He coordinates the definition of Use Cases and Privacy/Security approach for Smart Metering on European level. Dragan Vujcic, Oberthur Technologies Dragan is leader of IoT/M2M standardization at Oberthur Technologies, working in research and designs of M2M Security systems. He received a B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science. From his longstanding and active participation in various 3GPP standards from Radio Access to the System and Service aspects including Terminals and Security, he developed a deep standardization strength and understanding of the technical challenges and methods to make standards successful for time to market. Dragan is also actively involved into oneM2M and has been instrumental in creating the Security working group. He is Vice Chair of the oneM2M Security working group. Update 08 June 2015
