We also read some nonfiction texts about Irish castles and women in history while determining the main idea of these texts and the author’s purpose for writing his/her texts. Writing– After crafting leprechaun traps, students were inspired to write what a how to catch a leprechaun paper using temporal words. Students continued to research and collect information about their selected topic to prepare to write their own nonfiction piece! Math – Students are using the number line to identify the position of two- and three-digit numbers and rounding numbers (estimate) to the nearest ten or hundred.
