Biological
• Dispose of biohazards properly, by inactivating or
decontaminating prior to disposal
• Contact EHS Biosafety Team if questions or if intending to ship
the biohazard material to new facility
Facilities and Equipment
• Disinfect all surfaces and equipment
• Moving or getting rid of equipment: remove all hazard labels
after disinfecting, attach equipment release form, contact EHS.
(may need to contact IPF or MSU Surplus/Recycling)
• Lab Made Equipment: assure it has proper operating and
safety documentation
