This position will afford students the opportunity to refine their administrative and customer service skills in an office environment.
Students will provide support to the department through the utilization of verbal and written communication, while developing their
organizational, clerical, and computer skills. They will gain knowledge of contemporary office practices, procedures and techniques,
be able to identify basic student needs, and assist in matching students with available resources.

SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, perform basic clerical duties including but not limited to the
following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
Answer telephone, handling multiple lines.
Handle routine office inquiries.
Use word processing software.
Assist with on-campus registration.
Operate office equipment such as computer, copier, fax, typewriter, and calculator.
Refer students to appropriate person or department.
File correspondence and other records/documents.
Type correspondence and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts.
Provide support to other areas as needed.
Maintain inventory of office supplies, orders maintenance/repairs for office equipment.

One (1) year experience in an office environment preferred.
