1. In the midst of an eight-game homestand, the Flames erased a two-run deficit in the eighth for a 7-6
victory over Old Dominion in the final midweek home game of the season, Wednesday. Liberty's current
homestand is its longest of the season.
2. Radford and Liberty will meet four times in the next five days. After their three-game Big South series
at Liberty Baseball Stadium this weekend, the two teams will meet in a non-conference game at RU

of the season, helping Liberty defeat Old Dominion, Wednesday. Scarbrough also doubled and scored
twice, while Latta had a double and drove in a run.
• Scarbrough, 2B Andrew Kowalo and OF Jack Morris each hit a home run in Liberty's 4-2 win over Presbyterian, April 22.
• RHP Jon Letchworth retired the side in order in the eighth to record his first collegiate win, Wednesday
against Old Dominion. RHP Carson Herndon followed with a 1-2-3 inning of his own in the ninth for his
third save of the year in the 7-6 victory.
• Kowalo had two hits, including a three-run home run, his fourth of the season, in Liberty’s 10-7 win at
William & Mary, April 27 . He tied a career-high with three RBI.
1B/OF Andrew Yacyk was named to the 2016 Academic All-District 3 team selected by the College Sports
Information Directors of America on May 5.
• Yacyk went 3-for-4 with a double and scored a run against Coastal Carolina, this past Saturday. The
Flames' first baseman recorded his eighth three-hit game and his 15th multi-hit contest of the year.
• Yacyk leads the Flames in doubles, home runs and total bases. He tied for third in the Big South with 17
doubles, tied for 10th with six home runs and ninth with 99 total bases.
• OF/2B Will Shepherd went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored against Coastal Carolina, this past
Sunday. He was also hit by a pitch. The contest was the junior's fifth three-hit and his 20th multiple-hit
game, this season.
• Shepherd had his third home run of the week and sixth of the year among his two hits, April 23 at Presbyterian. He also collected three RBI on two hits, April 24 against the Blue Hose.
• Earlier in the week, Shepherd hit home runs, number four and five of the season, April 20 at Richmond.
The 2B hit a two-run home run in the seventh and a solo blast in the ninth. He walked twice and scored
three runs.
• Shepherd leads the Flames in RBI and is 10th in the Big South Conference with 37.
• RHP Shane Quarterley made his 24th appearance of the year, Wednesday. He leads the Flames in appearances and is currently, tied for third in the Big South in the category. Quarterley is also third in the
conference with six saves.
• RHP Evan Mitchell is ninth in the Big South with a 2.89 ERA and third in complete games with three.
• OF D.J. Artis collected two hits, one a triple, walked twice and scored two runs in Liberty's win, Wednesday over Old Dominion.
• Artis leads the Big South and is among the national leaders with a .513 on base percentage. He leads
Liberty and is second in the conference lead with 21 stolen bases. The OF is second with 46 walks, fourth
with a .370 batting average and sixth with 41 runs scored in the Big South.
• Britt started his 200th consecutive game in the first game of Liberty's doubleheader against Kent State
on March 19. Britt has now started 229 straight games. The senior has started every Liberty contest
since joining the Flames in 2012. He is on pace to break Trey Wimmer's (2009-14) career record of 235
games played in the final regular season game at High Point, May 21.
• RHP Zander Clouse scattered seven hits and yielded one run during the longest relief outing of his
career, 7.0 innings, in a 10-7 win at William & Mary, April 27. He pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings, before
yielding a run in the eighth.

• The Flames have posted a 15-11 record at Liberty Baseball Stadium, this season.
• Liberty went 21-9 at Liberty Baseball Stadium in 2015.
• This season, Liberty set a new single-game stadium attendance record, drawing a crowd of 4,024 fans for its contest with Virginia on May 3. The
new mark eclipses the previous record of 3,983 set on April 10, 2015 against Campbell.
• The Flames have averaged 1,362 fans per game during its four seasons at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
• The Liberty Baseball Stadium was ranked as one of the Top 100 stadium experiences of 2015 by Stadium Journey. The home of the Liberty baseball
program was listed No. 53. Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles, topped the list.

• First baseman/outfielder Andrew Yacyk was selected to the 2016
NCAA Division I Academic All-District 3 baseball team selected by
the College Sports Information Directors of America, May 5.
• The team honors excellence in the classroom and on the baseball
diamond. Yacyk was named to the team as an infielder.
• The junior, entered the week, hitting .307 with 37 RBI and 26 runs
scored in 48 games, this season. He has collected 16 doubles, a
triple, and six home runs, while posting a .487 slugging percentage
and a .362 on base percentage.
• Currently, he is one of three team captains for the Flames.
• Off the field, Yacyk holds a 3.69 GPA in biomedical studies. He has
been named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll as both a
freshman and sophomore.

• Flames shortstop Dalton Britt is on pace to break Trey Wimmer's
record of 235 games played from 2009-14. He enters Tuesday's contest having started 228 consecutive games.
• He is expected to break the Wimmer's mark for games played in
Liberty's last regular season game at High Point, May 21
• Britt started his 200th straight contest, March 19. The Greenville,
N.C. native made the milestone start in the first game of the doubleheader against Kent State.
• The senior has started every game since joining the Flames in 2013,
playing mostly at shortstop. In 2014, he played several games at
third base early in the season, before moving back to shortstop.
