The Geographical Society of Ireland is delighted to announce that it will host a free public screening of the documentary
celebrating the work of writer and cartographer, Tim Robinson, in Nuns’ Island Theatre, Galway, on Friday 9th
December 2011 as part of its series of public events for 2011.
Tim Robinson: Connemara, directed by Pat Collins of Harvest Films, will be shown at 6pm and will be followed by a
wine and Irish cheese reception in Sheridans’ Wine Bar, Churchyard Street, at 8pm that evening.
A brief talk on the history of Irish food produce will also take place on the night, presented by Brídín Carroll, a
doctoral candidate currently working on issues of sustainability and food systems at NUI Galway.
Tickets are free and will be available on the door on the night. Beidh fáilte roimh chách.
