It is large and bright with the filter, and appears to have two lobes. On another night, with somewhat better seeing and transparency, it was very easy and large. It is about 1 billion years old; the brightest cluster member is 11.16m. Observations: C8 at 83x. Very bright and open. Two stars dominate— a 6.2m star on the W side, and a 6.8m star on the NE side. The area between them is rich and faint. C11 at 115x. It is an oblong group, about 5 min x 20 min, with a 6m Y star near the center. All others are very faint. About 60 stars, and very grainy look. With the O-III filter, it is a little better shown, but still yields few details. Very bright center when filtered, though. - 19 - Zone 79 C11 at 98x with O-III filter. Oval with a bright, stellar center some 30" away from a 9.6m star. Once I knew where it was (with the O-III), it was easy to see without the OIII. Very rich field. At 193x, very faint stars are framed inside a 10m-11m diamond.
