Notes:
It is 8 light years in diameter and 422 million years old. There are two Ap stars, and
the earliest star types are A0. The brightest star is 8.3m (63 times brighter than the Sun).
It lies 29,000 light years from the galactic center and 440 light years south of its
central plane.
Observations:
C8 at 104x. Only five stars were resolved, in a very flattened "W" pattern that runs
NW to SE. It resembles a miniature "Lepus".
C11 at 115x. Nice bright group in a "C" shape. The S end of the C has a tight
diamond. I counted 15 stars. (Okie-Tex Star Party, 2003)
Sentinel, AZ; Steve Coe's C11 at 140x. 15 stars counted, in a 20m x 5m "C" shape.
Stars of 9m to 12m.
Model (where the Sun is a baseball):
Its diameter would be 2,430 miles, with its stars 375 miles apart.
