At 193x, it blinks nicely. At 339x, there is a greenish color and an oval shpae, pa about 135. Model (where the Sun is a baseball): Its diameter would be 101 miles. A loose splattering of stars just 2 min E of a 7m star. 10 stars in a football shape. C11 at 98x. Poor group. Two bright stars dominate the field, forming a N-S line. This cluster lies just E of the southern star. It vaguely looks like a UFO profile with smoke pouring out of its top. Very poor, faint; not much range in magnitude. A 10m star dominates. I counted 16 stars down to 14m. The AB stars are at least 84 AU apart. The orbit may take 653 years or so (De Cara/Veca, 1948). But Josties (1981) gives 722.0 years. Maximum separation (34") will occur in 2100. Extremely high common proper motion pair. AC 1907: 306.1 @ 196. 3 measurements. C has a dark companion, about 8 times the mass of Jupiter. This means that earth-bound parallaxes can give distances out to about 100 light years accurately. The Hipparcos mission was able to measure parallaxes as small as 0.002", since it does not need to look through a turbulent atmosphere, and hence help us determine accurate distances out to around 1,600 light years.] It is the most observed double star in the sky with over 34,000 photos and 2,000 professional visual observations.
