ForbehaviorsthatconstituteaviolationoftheUniversity’sHonorCodethestudent’sprofessorwill filloutanHonorCodeViolationform,whichwillbeinvestigatedbythePh.D.Director,LUOnlineand GraduateStudentAffairs.Studentsaregivenanopportunitytoappeal.Forfurtherinformationon theexpectationsforclinicalcoursesandtheremediationprocessforPh.D.PracticumandInternship, seethePracticumandInternshipManual. 4.9SEXUALHARASSMENT Sexualharassment,likeanykindofharassment,onthebasisofcolor,race,religion,ornationalorigin haslongbeenrecognizedasaviolationofSection703ofTitleVIIoftheCivilRightsActof1964,as amended.SuchbehaviordoesnotbefitacommittedChristian.Accordingly,LibertyUniversitystrongly disapprovesofsexualharassmentandintimidationofitsemployeesorstudents. 4.10PERSONALCOUNSELING Studentsarestronglyencouragedtoseekindividualandgroupcounselingasapartofthedoctoral educationalexperience.Evenifastudentisaparticipantinasupportgrouporself-helpgroup,that participationalonedoesnotreallyprovidethenecessarybenefitsforcounselorpreparation.As Christianswhoarecalledtoserveotherswiththetrainingofacounselingleader,itisimperativethat wedealwithourownpersonalissuesthatmayinterferewithourabilitytoimpactothersin meaningfulways.Moreover,gettingtheexperienceofbeingintheseatoftheclientwillhelpyou betterunderstandyourclients’experiencesincounseling.
