Young people, children/adolescents, need to belong; by belonging to a group, one feels they are a part of something bigger and more important than ourselves. Children need acceptance, attention and to connect with their peers. They need to be good at something, achieve their goals, gain the respect of others and learn to respect themselves – self-respect and selfconfidence can make a big difference in a child’s life.
