Students will be given business
parameters and will submit a
plan that will be evaluated
against a pre-defined rubric.
Students achieved 100% when
working collaboratively to
create and submit a business
plan and project budget that
incorporated the standard
elements.
Groups should complete biweekly group assignments for
grades that more reliably reflect
the amount of work being done
by individual group members.

Students will critique each
others’ plans and schedules
using a pre-defined rubric.
All groups were able to submit
project plans and revised
project plans in Microsoft
Project software.
Students were instructed in the
details of planning a project in
Microsoft Project. Grades were
assigned by skills exhibited for
the project plan. Students should
complete bi-weekly, increasingly
difficult, Microsoft Project
software assignments in order for
them to become more familiar
with MS Project.

and work effectively with
members of a team and

Students will be divided into
teams and assigned projects.
The instructor will observe the
students’ communication and
teamwork skills and collect
formal project assignments.
Their observations and
assignments will be evaluated
using pre-defined metrics.
All students were assigned to
groups and developed a team
charter. All students evaluated
their team members’ skills in
team work and
communication. Grades were
based on student participation
and team work.
Students learned about the
