In the boxes below, summarize
the results of your assessment
activities during the last year.
In the boxes below, summarize
how you are or how you plan to
use the results to improve student
learning.
Based on the results of this
assessment, will you revise your
outcomes? If so, please
summarize how and why in the
boxes below:
The ability to perfonn
radiographic examinations will
be measured by completion of
competency evaluations which
will be evaluated by industry
standards which are know to the
student.
13 students were assessed during
this course. The average
semester grade for the 13
students was 93.87%. All
students scored above 90%
These results are anticipated
based on the students completing
a number of examinations before
competency testing. The premise
of this type of testing is to
document competency for the
ARRT when the students
graduate
No change in assessment
necessary. This course will not
be offered after the summer of
2015.
The ability to work effectively
with the health care team will be
measured by the program's
clinical appraisal which is known
to the student.
Each student is assessed at least
one times over the course of the
semester. The average appraisal
score for each student for the
semester is
93.55%
The high scores on the appraisal
has indicated that the appraisal as
it is currently used in not
effective in evaluating the
students perfonnance in the
health care setting.
The grades for the course tend to
always be an "A". All except for
those who were reduced due to
attendance. This indicates that
the appraisal process is not
working as intended because the
technologist who have completed
the appraisals were not willing to
appropriately evaluate the student
because they wanted them to be
successful. This course will not
be offered after Summer 2015.
