Outcome#l
Students will demonstrate their
ability to communicate about
Social Work and its profession.
Grading of written papers,
quizzes and discussion postings.
As this measure was spread over
the entire semester, it would have
to be based on the overall grades
of students.
Not very helpful.
This outcome was too general for
the entire semester. Change this
outcome to identifying the
different roles of Social Work
(summary of the semester in a
term paper, listing why they are
focused on a specific area).
There was a specific website
about values and bias that was
completed and then a discussion
post.
This assignment was completed
by 95% of the students that
completed the course.
Subjectively this was one of the
most fruitful discussions that
occurred- The Hx of Social Work
was in the fonn of a quiz and the
results were 95% of students
receiving an A-.
These results help identify
students attitudes that can be
addressed at that time and
throughout the remainder of the
semester.
Separate this into two outcomes
not one- no other changes.

Students will demonstrate their
ability to interpret and create a
representation of the ideas of
Social Work through an agency
visit.
Assessment Measures
Visit an agency assignment and
do a discussion post.
Use of Results
Assessment Results
This was completed by 92% of
the students that completed the
semester. Subjectively, this
discussion seemed to be lacking
in information.
Make some adjustments next
semester. The plan was to use
these to assist students in
networking and expanding their
knowledge of local resources.

Effect on Course
This assisted with the final paper
that they had this semester and in
the future will be tied into the
revised outcome above of
identifying different professions
within SW and how the agency
visits bring this all together.
