If so, please summarize how and why in the boxes below: Assessed via written assignments and questions on a quizlexam. Students' overall average was 90% on this assignment. The concept was well discussed in class and has been previously introduced to students during the Research Method course (PSY 240) that is pre-requisite for PSY 275. Results will be shared with PSY 240 instructor to reinforce the way the concept is taught. Understanding ofiRB is essential for this course and instructor needs to keep this assignment at a mastery level of 80%. Student's overall average on articles summaries was 85%. For data collection and analysis the overall average of students was 65%, with this low average probably due to inability to work in group. For future semesters the instructor will describe the data collection and analysis assignment with more rigorous details and enforce to students that data collect has to be done in advance to give students more time to develop communication skills, work in group responsibility, and critical thinking skills. With more rigorous writing assignment the instructor will be able to expect more from students and students will have more time and opportunity to develop data collection, analysis and critical thinking skills with instructor supervision. Students were assessed through a I to 2 pages writing assignment where they were expected to identify the IRB and all the steps involved in the process of getting approved to perfonn research with human subjects. Assessed by research reports with collected and analyzed data via a rubric designed by the instructor.
