The Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T or AS-T) is a new degree offered at California Community Colleges in Sociology, Psychology, Communication Studies, and Mathematics. Students who earn an AA-T or AS-T degree and meet the CSU minimum eligibility requirements are guaranteed admission to a CSU. A counselor can help you develop an education plan that puts you on the path toward achieving the AA-T or AS-T degree. Honors courses better prepare the highly motivated student to transfer to a university and complete a bachelor’s degree. Summer Bridge ext. 3123 (LR101B) The Summer Bridge Program empowers students to enter Rio Hondo College with preparedness, confidence, and direction. Summer Bridge students are more likely to pass math and attain higher overall retention rates in other core classes compared to other groups throughout their first academic year. Students who earn an AA-T or AS-T degree and meet the CSU minimum eligibility requirements are guaranteed admission to a CSU, but not necessarily to a particular campus or major. The special degree may give you a GPA bump when applying to an impacted campus outside your local area or an impacted major that is deemed similar. D Transfer to a University: Students whose goal is to transfer to a four-year university should identify which transferable courses are required for both their major and general education. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a counselor to develop an academic program best suited for their transfer institution and intended major.
