Call for Papers: Prize for Student Work in Housing Studies Application Deadline: MONDAY, MAY 16, 2016 Harvard faculty from across the university are invited to nominate student-authored papers that contribute to the understanding of, or practical improvements to, housing and urban topics broadly defined. The Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, a joint venture of the Harvard Kennedy School and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, will recognize excellence in graduate level research on housing, by awarding the JCHS Best Paper on Housing prize on an annual basis. Prize-winning authors will be eligible for possible feature posts on the JCHS blog and social media and will receive recognition on our website and other platforms. WHO: Open to graduate students at HKS and GSD, but papers must be submitted by a sponsoring faculty member. The papers submitted must have been written within the 2015-2016 academic year. HOW: Faculty members are asked to nominate projects that advance the field of housing studies. Send nominations to james_chaknis@harvard.edu. A short email will suffice, with papers attached in PDF. Submissions should be double-spaced, in a single-sided format with the author, faculty nominator, and contact information included on the cover page. Each faculty sponsor should submit no more than one outstanding student paper. WHEN: Submissions are due by Monday, May 16 and should be sent to james_chaknis@harvard.edu. The Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies advances understanding of housing issues and informs policy.
