MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING signed between Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and ZIM LABORATORIES LTD. B-21/22, MIDC Area, Kalmeshwar- 441501, Dist. Nagpur The Memorandum of Understanding between the ZIM LABORATORIES LTD. B-21/22, MIDC Area, Kalmeshwar- 441501, Dist. Nagpur and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur is being signed on 15.10.2013. The MOU is being signed on the prospect that both the institutions collaborate on developing the joint academic and research co-operation between the two institutes. For Collaborative Research and academic activities The scope of MoU is to define a mechanism to promote interdisciplinary research; impart vocational and skill oriented training and other programs to benefit student and staff of both organizations; joint research and academic activities leading to academic excellence; new knowledge generation; innovative technology development; professional skill and competence development; vocational training capacity building and many such synergies of interdisciplinary research through collaboration and networking of University and Zim Laboratories Ltd. 1. OBJECTIVES Zim Laboratories Ltd. and University will undertake joint research work in the areas of mutual interest: To setup a virtual center for interdisciplinary research in the University in collaboration with Zim Laboratories Ltd. The concerned scientists of Zim Laboratories Ltd. and corresponding faculty members of University together will formulate syllabi for academic programs, new courses, joint research projects and training for skill oriented Human Resources with due approval of both the institute and within the framework of rules and regulation governing both the organizations. Training programs on state of art topics of interdisciplinary research for faculty, staff, student and technical personnel of both the organizations within the area of co-operation will be undertaken at both the institutes. To work on collaborative research projects involving other agencies of the region and work towards development of Nagpur region keeping in view the interests and philosophies of each other. 2. VIRTUAL CENTER FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH The center will take the support of national and international academia and other industries to provide maximum benefit to student community in terms of: a) Developing new pattern of course involving interdisciplinary research. b) Student intern/sandwich program. c) Skill oriented training and vocational course. d) Dissertation project U.G., P.G. and Research student. e) Technology development and demonstration. f) Capacity building and human resource development for the Faculty Scientists and practicing personal of industry and others. g) Information education and communication on product and process development and other topics of mutual interest. h) An interdisciplinary laboratory on pharmaceutical process and particle engineering to solve the issues relating to manufacturing cost, product efficacy, safety and bioavailability related to pharmaceutical medicines. 3. 4. EXCHANGE/DEPUTATION OF STAFF To exchange faculty/technical personnel on full-time/part time basis for a limited period not exceeding one year at a time for the purpose of implementation of joint tasks within the areas of co-operation. That the faculty/staff and research fellows registered for Ph.D. degree may visit the other institution for a short period in connection with their research work under joint collaboration program. That the faculty/technical personnel will be encouraged to deliver lectures/invited talks in the other organization. JOINT CONFERENCE/WORKSHOP/COURSES 5. Both the parties agree to hold/conduct, whenever feasible, national events, Joint workshops, conferences, training programs within the areas of mutual interest. SHARING OF FACILITIES The two organizations agree to share their respective important R &D facilities in order to promote academic and research in the areas of cooperation to intensity the high priority area program of science and technology. * Both the organizations agree to share and utilize equipments, facilities, hardware, software and other materials & components developed in house in the area of co-operation if advisable within the framed rules governing both the organizations. Access to laboratory, library and other supporting facilities for jointly supervised UG, PG and Research will be provided by both institutes. 6. PROJECTS WORK OF STUDENTS A total of 5-10 selected students of U.G., P.G. and research in the respective areas of specialization of University will be allowed at a time for project work at ZIM LABORATORIES LTD. students will work in the areas of mutually agreeable areas identified by the both organizations. 7. AREAS OF MUTUAL INTEREST The areas of co-operation will be defined and modified from time to time by the co-operation committee set up for the purpose. The areas identified for cooperation are Biotechnology, Biosciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Pharmacy, Toxic genomics, Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, Commerce, Management, herbals, food & Nutrition, etc. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING signed between Dev Sanskrit Vishwa Vidyalaya (DSVV) Gayatrikunj-Shantikunj, Haridwar, India and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) Nagpur, India This Memorandum of Understanding between the Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya, Haridwar (DSVV) and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur is being signed on 21.9.2013. The MOU is being signed on the prospect that both the institutions collaborate on developing the joint academic courses, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya will develop common research projects and enhance teaching, educational and research cooperation for the students, faculty and staff of both the institutions i.e. DSVV and RTMNU, Both of them find precious synergy in such initiatives and plan to work together for mutual development, promoting the exchange of students and teachers for the research and study. Areas of mutual cooperation and roles of the InstitutionsDSVV 1. DSVV shall extend support for providing short term training programs and modular program in the area of Yogic Science, Yagna Therapy, Spiritual Therapy, Pranic Healing, Life Management, and Indian Culture to students & faculties of the RTMNU. 2. The Chief Patron of the DSVV, Pt Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji has written more than 3000 books in his life time with numerous titles on the Eastern Psychology, Life Philosophy, Scientific Spirituality, Individual refinement etc. DSVV shall offer his works which can then be used to design & develop curriculums and courses at the RTMNU. 3. DSVV shall share its expertise to the RTMNU in the common disciplines of Yoga, Ayurveda, Alternative Therapies, Theology, Psychology, Philosophy & the Scientific Spirituality, Journalism & Mass Communication, Computer Science, Ancient Indian History & culture, Tourism Management, Self Entrepreneurship and Rural Development, Handloom Technology RTMNU 1. RTMNU shall offer help in developing professional courses and research in the field of mutual interest such as Computer Science, Mass Communication, Applied Science, and Engineering & Technology. 2. RTMNU will extend its support in conducting mutual training & modular programs (workshops, seminars, lectures, spiritual retreats), which may envisage visits of the Professors, Trainers, Scholars and students in the respective areas. 3. RTMNU shall share it’s expertise in developing joint projects in the areas of Literature, Library and Information Science, Handmade paper, Technology, Food and Engineering Technology, Renewable Bio-energy, Silk Processing etc. MOU SIGNED BETWEEN ANACON LABORATORIES PVT. LTD., NAGPUR AND RASHTRASANT TUKADOJI MAHARAJ NAGPUR UNIVERSITY, NAGPUR TO PROMOTE ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH COOPERATION The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed on 28.2.2013 between Anacon Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University to promote academic and research cooperation between the two organizations. 1. Objectives ALPL and RTMNU shall undertake joint research work in the following areas. Shall formulate need-based collaborative research projects and Human Resource Development plans. ALPL shall undertake training programmes for faculty, staff, students and technical personnel from RTMNU in following broad areas – Good Laboratory Practices Quality Management System as per ISO 9001 : 2008 Environmental Management System as per ISO 14001 : 2004 Laboratory Management System as per ISO/IEC 17025 : 2005 Water / waste water analysis Biochemical analysis of food and food products Environmental monitoring (soil, air, noise, vibration analysis) Hands-on training on high-end Instrumentation (HPLC, GC/MS, LC/MS,FTIR, ICPA, AAS) Treatability studies Chemical analysis of food contaminants Characterization of coal Development and validation of analytical method(s) Toxicity characteristics of hazardous wastes Shelf-life studies Evaluation of cosmetics Characterization of ores Other areas of training shall also be identified from time to time. 2. Exchange / Deputation of Staff The faculty / staff and research fellows registered for Ph.D. degree in RTMNU may visit ALPL for a short period in connection with their research work under collaborative programme. The competent faculty / technical personnel of RTMNU shall be invited to deliver lectures / invited talks at ALPL. 3. Joint Conference / Workshop / Courses Both the organisations will hold / conduct joint conference / workshop / training courses for RTMNU faculty / staff / technical personnel within the areas of cooperation. 4. Sharing of Facilities Both the organizations will to share important R&D facilities in order to promote academic and research in the areas of cooperation. The two organizations would exchange software, intellectual property and other in-house components in the areas of cooperation.. For collaborative works, access to laboratory, library, software and other essential research tools shall be granted to a registered M.Sc. / Ph.D. students from RTMNU. 5. Project Work / Dissertation M.Sc. students from RTMNU shall be allowed for project work / dissertation in respective areas of specialization at ALPL, subject to availability of resources. The students shall work in the mutually agreeable subject areas identified by both organizations. 6. Areas of Cooperation A coordination committee shall be set up, comprising equal number of staff / faculty from both the organizations. The coordination committee shall define the areas of cooperation, generally encompassing Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Home Science, and Environmental Sciences. ALPL shall provide testing facility to short-listed research scholars enrolled for Ph.D. in RTMNU in predefined areas of cooperation.. MoU signed between Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj Administrative Premises, Ravindranath Tagore Marg., Nagpur440001 and MAHARASHTRA CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT (MCED) Promoted by Government of Maharashtra. The socio-cultural climate of this region compels the students to explore various employment opportunities as the most preferred career choice after completion of their formal education. These invariably results in the youth spending on an average 3 to 4 years of precious time in searching for various jobs and engage themselves in allied activities like preparing for various job related competitive examinations. During such period most of them also acquire additional qualifications to widen the scope of job opportunities. However, in the prevailing employment scenario, only a small number of aspirants get absorbed in the employment market and the remaining vast majority is thrown out to fend for themselves. Thus at the end, after exhausting almost all employment related avenues they turn to self-employment/entrepreneurial activities, but they lack the skills which are vital for succeeding in any entrepreneurial venture. Besides, they are also deficient in sensing viable business opportunities, knowledge of resources to launch and effectively manage self-employment ventures. In this context this activity is undertaken jointly by the Rastrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Nagpur. Broad Objectives:1. Aimed At Management Representatives And Head Of Institutions:Sensitization Programme of One Day duration shall be organized for Management Representatives and Heads of Institutions with a view to a. Enable them to appreciate the need and importance of promoting employment among students. self- b. Help them facilitate the creation of conducive environment for free growth of the concept in their respective institutions. 2. Aimed At Faculty Members of The Participating Institutions/affiliated Colleges :Capacity Building Programmes of about 5 days duration shall be organized for Faculty Members of the Participating Institutions with view to – a. Facilitate faculties in understanding core concept of entrepreneurship and various dimensions of entrepreneurship development. b. Help faculties and management of the institution for creating an environment conducive for speedy development of entrepreneurship among their students. c. To sharpen the delivery skills related to promotion of self-employment among faculty members. 3. Aimed At Students:Development Programme for Self-Employment (DPSE) of Two Weeks duration shall be organized for students with a view: a. To facilitate students in understanding core aspects of entrepreneurial practices. b. To sensitize them about Business environment/opportunities and to help them to select appropriate Product/Project. c. To disseminate information about various financial assistance schemes and procedure to set up Small Enterprises and complete loan Procedure /documentation. d. To help them explore the market environment and to prepare the Business Plan/Project Report. e. To provide insight into the knowledge and skills required for managing a micro enterprise. Area of Operation Under this MOU the area of operation will be defined and modify time to time by Co-ordination committee set up for the purpose. The area of operation will be four district gradually spread up from Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia and Wardha, complementary with the activity in employment/ self- employment and entrepreneurship development The MOU signed between Central Institute of Cotton Research, Nagpur and RASHTRANT TUKADOJI MAHARAJ NAGPUR UNVIERSITY for research and academic cooperation The University and institute hereby agree for the implementation of collaborative research programme/project/thesis work a. The University programmes b. The institute will provide facilities for a maximum period of 6 months in respect of M.Sc programme and three years for the Ph.D. programme c. The institute will provide the laboratory and field facilities for the conduct of research work leading to M.Sc/Ph.D. degree provided the entire research work for the respective degrees is carried out at CICR, Nagpur. The students at the university will undertake the course work component. The research programme of the students will be finalized after mutual consultation between the host institute and the university. d. Scientists of the institute or teacher of Nagpur University in the relevant discipline individually or jointly will be identified as Guide / Supervisor and will co-ordinate the students programme at the institute as per University rules e. The Guide/Supervisor so identified will act as laison officer between the institute and the University. f. The period of work and number of students per discipline shall be decided mutually between the University and the host institute. In the Publications arising out of this collaborative programme the due authorship will be given to the institute scientist and university faculty. g. and institute will undertake joint collaborative research MOU signed between Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and National Environmental Engineering Research CSIR-NEERI and University will undertake joint research work in the areas of mutual interest. To setup a ‘Virtual Centre for Interdisciplinary Research’ in the University in collaboration with CSIR-NEERI and industry of the region. The concerned scientists of CSIR-NEERI and corresponding faculty members of University ‘together will formulate syllabi for academic programmes, new courses, joint research projects and training for skill oriented Human Resource Development plans for students of University with due approval of both the institutions and within the framework of rules and regulations governing the organizations. Training programmes on state-of-art topics of interdisciplinary research for faculty, staff, students and technical personnel of the University within the areas of co-operation will be undertaken at the two institutions. Joint sponsored and research projects involving industry and agencies of the region and formulation of long term and short term projects that could develop the Nagpur region, keeping in view the interests and philosophies of the respective institutions. Virtual Centre for Interdisciplinary Research Under the MoU, a virtual Centre for Interdisciplinary Research will be set up in the University, as a collaborative activity of CSIR-NEERI and University. The Centre will liaise with local industry and international academia to provide maximum benefit to student community in terms of: a) b) c) d) e) f) g) Developing new pattern of courses involving interdisciplinary research Student Intern/sandwich programmes Develop appropriate Projects/ Programmes/Activities for CSIR and AcSIR. The modalities of the Virtual Centre shall be worked out together within a period of three months based on extensive deliberations with all the stakeholders and it will be established within the frame work of administrative, financial and byelaws/rules governing University and CSIR-NEERI Both CSIR-NEERI and University jointly agree: To exchange faculty/technical personnel on full-time/part-time basis for a limited period not exceeding one year at a time for the purpose of implementation of joint tasks within the areas of co-operation. That the faculty/staff and research fellows registered for Ph.D. degree may visit the other institution for a short period in connection with their research work under joint collaborative programme. The cost of the work will be borne by the respective institutes. They shall be deemed to be on duty with the parent organization for the said period. That the faculty/technical personnel deputed for training shall be deemed to be on duty with the parent organization for the period of training. Project Work of Students A total of 5 - 10 selected students of U.G. ,P.G. and Research. in the respective areas of specialization of University will be allowed at a time for project work at CSIR-NEERI depending upon the availability of bench space. The students will work in the areas of mutually agreeable subject areas identified by the both institutes. Ph.D. Registration CSIR-NEERI will be recognized as research center of University in mutually agreed area programmes. Scientists of CSIR-NEERI shall be recognized as guides for M.Phil/M.Sc./M.Tech./Ph.D. programs of the University as per University Provision in force. Staff members /Research fellows of CSIR-NEERI may be registered for the Ph.D. programmes at University, as per rules. For all matters related to Ph.D. programmes, relevant rules and regulations will be applicable. Areas of Co-operation The areas of co-operation will be defined and modified from time to time by the co-ordination committee set up for the purpose. The areas identified for cooperation are Biotechnology, Earth Science, Biosciences, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Computer Science Toxic genomics, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Commerce, Management, Food & Nutrition, Mathematical Science etc. Publications and Patents All publications in the programmes of co-operation will be co-authored by the concerned staff/Research Fellow and faculty of CSIR-NEERI and faculty of University. The Coordination Committee shall review the patentability aspect of the research work and direct whether a patent or a publication be made. CSIR-NEERI & University will be joint holders of the intellectual property Right (IPR) / Patents flowing out of joint work. The decisions on ownership, licensing, costs, royalties, etc. shall be discussed and made by Coordination Committee and the Coordination Committee recommendations shall be processed in accordance with the framework of IP guidelines and rules governed by individual party at CSIR-NEERI and University. These decisions shall be pre-specified and detailed in individual project/activity specific agreements that will follow under this MoU.
