New Enterprise Development (MG307) New Enterprise Development (MG307) Semester 1, 2012/13 Course Outline Objectives Lecturer(s) Times This course covers the concepts, theories and techniques of entrepreneurial management in the business sector. It examines the nature of entrepreneurship and the typical characteristics of the entrepreneur. The generation of new business ideas and the nature of innovation are outlined. The formulation, implementation and maintenance of successful business models and a viable business plan are central issues of concern throughout the course. How to raise finance and various State supports for new enterprise are illustrated. The management issues in the transition from start-up to growth are explained.
