New University Faculty Senate
Committee on Academic Affairs
The University Faculty Senate (UFS) would
like the FDA to recommend a few of our
faculty to join a new committee ten-member
committee which will address curriculum
matters.
The UFS is looking for faculty who are
knowledgeable about academic affairs,
academic policy, academic program,
curriculum development, and related matters
at their college and, if possible, at CUNY
and nationally.
The committee will be chaired by Karen
Kaplowitz (John Jay), UFS Vice Chair, with
Phil Pecorino (Queensborough), UFS
Treasurer, serving as vice chair. The
committee with meet monthly.
If you are interested in nominating yourself
or a colleague, please email us at
fda@hunter.cuny.edu.
Executive Committee Vacancy
The FDA is seeking to fill an open seat
on its Executive Committee, preferably with
a tenured faculty member.
Duties: The FDA Executive Committee
meets for an hour once a month to plan FDA
events and to set FDA priorities. It also
meets occasionally with top Hunter
administrators. Serving on the Executive
Committee is a great opportunity to meet
and work with colleagues outside of your
department and to learn about an array of
campus and CUNY matters.
If you are interested in serving, please get in
touch with the FDA at
fda@hunter.cuny.edu.
Welcome to Our Newest Colleagues
The Executive Committee of the FDA
would like to extend a warm welcome to our
new faculty colleagues who have been
appointed full-time to Hunter, effective
August 1, 2014.
