Procedures/Steps:
This is a mnemonic device to help students remember strategy steps in the
writing process.
 W-Work from your plan.
 R-Remember your goals.
 I-include transition words.
 T-Try to use different kinds of sentences.
 E- Exciting, interesting, $100,000 words in composition.
Comments and/or tips:
 Create bulletin boards or individual cue cards for student reference.
 Have students work in pairs to peer edit essay.
 Model strategy.
 Use daily.
