Scott Weissman presented to the Committee the TMCC TECH 4 ED blog. The committee really liked the
blog and the idea of promoting technology to the campus community through this tool. Committee did
have some concerns on the policy of using a blog at TMCC. Scott was going to work with Marketing to
ensure we were okay to promote. Committee would like a link from the webpage. If people want to
contribute to the blog currently we would send information directly to Scott and he would post. The idea
would be to post at least once a week to this blog. We also discussed bringing this to the attention of SGA.

Thomas Kearns talked about the request for TMCC to complete questions concerning Accessible technology

Thomas Kearns has created am Accessibility Checker form for software, hardware, and LMS tied to
Textbooks and course content. This form would be completed by faculty which will help DRC be in the loop
of software being used to ensure accessibility. This form needs to be added to the website and promoted to
faculty. Bo suggested that we could possibly add the link to the form on the request for software page.

It was agreed that all committee members take a look at the Academic Technologies plan and send any
changes to Brandy Scarnati for review and updates to the plan. The plan will then be a working document
for the committee moving forward.
e.
The committee will be charged to review video content storage application moving forward. WebCollege
needs to adopt another platform by Fall 2016 Semester. The application needs to be integrated into the
LMS system for easy instructor access and integration into the online courses.
