Clinical research: Trained and have experience with grantsmanship, IRB submission, study
designs (randomized controlled trials, cohort / case-control studies, case series), patient
recruitment and follow-up, data collection, database (MS Access), and analysis (STATA
software)
In vitro / microbiology: Trained in basic microbiology (bacterial growth, maintenance, and
culture), in vitro susceptibility, and strain typing of aerobic and anaerobic organisms. Currently
utilizing molecular biology (PCR and real-time PCR) and cell culture techniques.
