Matakuliah : D0194 / Perancangan Sistem Kerja & Ergonomi PRODUCTIVITY Pertemuan 2 1 Productivity is concerned with the efficient utilization of resources (input provided) in producing goods or services (output generated) Productivity Ratio = Output produced per a given time period Resource(s) consumed in production per a given time period (Source : Kolarik in Creating Quality) 2 INPUTS Knowledge Skill Experience Information Facilities Machines Tools Materials Supplies Energies OUTPUT TRANSFORMATION Goods Services 3 With reference the process concept figure, productivity associates quantities/costs of resources at the input to product at the output. The transformation process determines our level of productivity 4 (Source : Barnes, Motion and Time Study) 5 1. Partial productivity is the ratio of output to one class of input Example : material productivity is the ratio of output to material input, labor productivity is the ratio of output to labor input. 2. Total Productivity is the ratio of total output to the sum of all input Factors 6 E = 100 x HeHc • E = Percent Efficiency • He = Standard Hours Earned • Hc = Clock Hours on Job Example : The standard time for an operator is 11.46 minutes per piece. In an 8 hour shift. If the operator produced 53 pieces in an given Working day, The operator’s efficiency would be : (Source : Russel, Taylor III in Operations management) 7 Jumlah Output Kesalahan Waktu Good quality units (input)(processing cost) + (defective units) (rework Cost) Source : Kolarik in Creating Quality 8
