Chair Purdy posted the announcement for new CAP chair including the Bylaws description of the committee charges as well as her own example of some of the duties associated with being chair. She is completing her third year and is not eligible to be reelected for an additional two year term. She encouraged a CAP member to consider doing this position as an individual from outside the committee may not know the procedures and processes of the committee. 2. The Committee motioned and approved changes to the AA/AS General Education English requirement to match the NSHE code and to read: 3. o English: 3-6 credits o Including ENG 102 or ENG 114 o Total General Education Requirements: 21 – 24 credits o Total Electives: 16-39 Page B-51, under Skills Certificates at TMCC - reword this sentence to : Certificates can be designated as stackable credentials within existing Associate Degree Tracks. 4. The academic advisors explained the English is changing cut scores, however, the term “qualifying” will be used in the descriptions, etc and not a specific score/number.
