presentationaboutthisproblemortopic.Thiscoursewilldiscussthefollowingtopics:
howtodevelopahypothesis,howtocompleteareliableliteraturereview,the
importanceofpeerreview,andhowtopresentresultsandfindings.

Thiscourseisdesignedtohelpstudentsidentifyaproblemortopicinplantsciencesand
todevelopaposterpresentationaboutthisproblemortopic.Attheendofthe

ProjectGuidelines:(100pts)
Skillareasthatarebeingevaluated:qualityofpresentation(organizationandoverall
form);validity(accuracy,wastheprojectontopicandwereargumentssupported);
impact(didtheprojectopenupnewpossibilities,wastheproblemsolved);and
sophisticationofknowledge(complexityormaturityofknowledge;didthestudentavoid
naïvemisconceptions).Theattachedrubricwillbeusedtodetermineasatisfactory
gradeforcompletionofthisproject.Eachstudentprojectwillbeevaluatedbya
committeeofthreefacultyfromtheAgronomy,PlantPathology,andEnvironmental
Horticulturedepartments.
