Provide student support services to facilitate persistence, retention, and completion of student educational goals College Center Strategic Goal II Increase retention College Center Strategic Objective: Strategies Early alerts visit with students about attendance Introduce students to tutoring at the beginning Measuring Tools completed earlyalertsOLC reference web to monitor attendance Log sheet by peer mentor Increase retention by using a individualized approach to students completing courses. Expected Results Actual Results Improvements to Strategy help students overcome obstacles preventing them from attending class Early alerts were sent for attendance and academic issues Work on more effective ways to help students improve attendance prevent students from dropping classes. Increase retention We had 4 students participate in the tutoring provided by student support services. With the tutoring help 3 completed courses Get students more involved in tutoring. Get them started at the beginning of the course not at the end when its harder to complete the work.
