What is the Grants Information Collection? How will the GIC help me and my organization? The Grants Information Collection (GIC) is a Funding Information Network partner of the Foundation Center, an independent national service organization headquartered in New York that is the "nation's leading authority on philanthropy." Our purpose at the GIC is to improve the lives of the citizens of Wisconsin —within and beyond the university classroom—by promoting research, advancing learning, and encouraging nonprofit efforts through instruction and access to information relating to grants, philanthropy, and charitable giving. The GIC is a library collection where users do their own research. We do not give out grants. Who may use the Grants Information Collection? The GIC is free and open to the public.
