Please complete and submit this Registration Form and artwork by 18h00 (Paris
time) on Sunday 1 April 2012. All fields in this Form must be completed in either English,
French or Spanish. Fields marked with an asterix (*) are compulsory.

Contest rules
By participating in this UNESCO-GMR 2012 Contest, participants agree to be bound by the
aforementioned Terms and Conditions and the following Rules.
If you are selected for a prize, you will be asked to provide further contacts details and proof of identity.
As a participant in UNESCO-GMR’s 2012 Artwork contest, and as The Owner and The Creator of the
artwork, I certify that:
1. I am aged between 18 and 24 years during the period of this competition (1 February 2012 to 1
April 2012 inclusive).
2. I am the Creator of the artwork that I submit, and it does not infringe on any third party rights. I
certify that all content used is my own.
3. As the Owner, I grant to UNESCO-GMR, for the whole term of copyright, the permission and
non-exclusive right to use, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, reproduce, translate, adapt, reillustrate,
publish or distribute and redistribute this Work, in full or in part, for purposes of publicizing
UNESCO-GMR’s programs or for any other lawful purpose and communicate to the public,
worldwide, in any language and for all future editions and revisions, in printed and electronic
format, the whole or any part of the Work and to authorize other publishers or co-publishers to
exercise any or all of these rights.
4. I understand and agree that these submitted materials will become the property of UNESCOGMR and will not be returned. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve any finished
products, whether in written or electronic form. I waive any right to royalties, payment or other
consideration arising from or related to the use of the artwork.
5. The permission is granted for free to UNESCO.
6. The following credit shall be given: © UNESCO/NAME OF CREATOR.
7. The permission is granted on the understanding that the Publication may be distributed free of
charge by UNESCO or its publishing partners or commercialized within UNESCO’s own
distribution channels or those of its publishing partners.
8. The Owner certifies that:
1. I am the sole copyright-holder of the Work and have full power to make this Agreement
and to authorize the use of the Work as set forth in paragraph 3 above.
2. The Work is original to me.
3. The Work is in no way a violation or an infringement of any existing copyright or any
other right granted to any other publisher and contains nothing otherwise unlawful.
4. I shall clearly identify any material in the Work (e.g., texts, illustrations, tables, charts)
for which I do not own the copyright or cannot otherwise authorize its use in the
context of the Work as set forth in paragraph 3 above.
9. I agree to indemnify UNESCO and hold it harmless from any third party claims for loss, injury,
damage (including any legal costs and/or other expenses properly incurred), prejudice, liability
or expense suffered as a result of or in any manner in connection with my artwork entry, any
other of my acts or omissions or any information which I have provided, including but not
limited to, claims for violation of copyrights.
10. I agree that if an amicable settlement of any dispute arising out of, or relating to the present
permission cannot be reached, it shall be settled by binding arbitration by a sole arbitrator
appointed by mutual agreement, or, failing this, by the President of the International Court of
Justice at the request of either the Owner or UNESCO.
11. I grant UNESCO-GMR to right to use my name, photograph, image or likeness in the context of
any recording, any presentation, speech or other form of publicity in connection with the
artwork contest.
12. I understand that all Forms and my artwork must be submitted no later than 18h (Paris time)
on 1 April 2012 and that any Forms and/or artwork received after this time will not be
considered.
13. I am between the age of 18 and 24 years old and am fully competent to contract in my own
name. By selecting "Yes" below and submitting this Registration Form, I attest that I have read
the Terms & Conditions and this Release before doing so and I fully understand all of my rights
and obligations as specified therein.
14. I further certify that all information submitted in the Registration Form is true and correct. I
attest that all statements made in my artwork and all other information provided to UNESCOGMR are true and correct.
