Once the plan is approved, the School shall include it in its records, noting the topic, date, and names of the
graduate and the Advisor. The record shall grant the graduate the exclusive right to work on this topic, within
a maximum term of six (6) months. Graduates who fail the defense of their thesis and wish to once again
attempt to obtain their Professional Title under this same modality shall submit a new plan, subject to the
same standards.
The Advisor decides whether the thesis meets the requirements, through a communication addressed to
the Dean of the School of Law.
Graduates shall submit to the School of Law three (3) copies of the finished thesis paper, endorsed by the
Advisor. The School distributes the three copies among the Jury members, who issue their opinion on
whether or not to admit the defense of the thesis. In the event of unfavorable opinions, the graduate shall
be notified in order to rectify all objections.
The Program Director sets the date and time of the public act for the defense of the thesis, which may not
be postponed, except on grounds of act of God or force majeure event.
The graduate defends the thesis before the Jury in a public act. Once the Jury's questions have been asked
and answered, the Jury deliberates in private and determines the grade. The grade is expressed using
printed forms. The President of the Jury informs the graduate of the grade assigned. The Jury's decision is
final and binding.
The approved version of the thesis, endorsed by the President of the Jury or the Program Director, shall be
submitted in accordance with the Cybertesis methodology. The Registrar's Office is provided with two digital
copies, which are distributed to the School and the Library. The reception of this final version is a

thesis, the author shall fill out and sign the authorization form for the publication of electronic theses.
7. MODALITY OF DEFENSE OF DOCKETS
Graduates propose two documents to be defended to the School of Law, which verifies the admissibility
thereof, ensuring that they have not been the subject matter of defense during the previous two (2) years.
The School further verifies that one docket deals with private law and the other deals with public law.
The digital copies of the dockets shall be submitted in TIFF format, at a resolution of 75 dpi (in grayscale),
in order to then be converted to PDFs. There shall be only one final file.
The graduate submits to the School of Law three (3) copies of the dockets for the Jury members.
The Dean, or, by delegation thereof, the Program Director, appoints the Jury members and forwards the
dockets to them.
The Jury members shall notify the School of their conformity with the dockets and the possibility of their
defense, based on their degree of complexity, timeliness, and relevance.
