The cauliflower originated over 2,000
years ago in the Mediterranean and
Asian Minor region. Almost all
cauliflower grown in the U.S. comes
from California.

Cauliflower is not always white. Some
are orange or purple.

Cauliflower is a vegetable that grows as a
flower on plants. In its early stages of
growth it actually looks like broccoli,
which is its closest relative.


Cauliflower has a lot of folate. Your body
needs folate to help form red blood cells.
Cauliflower also has a lot of vitamin C.
Scurvy is a disease that people get when
they do not eat enough vitamin C.

Ingredients
1 head cauliflower, cut into small florets
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit



