Full day and ½ day students will be considered The positions are similar to that of a junior reporter. The successful candidate will be responsible for: writing stories about community events keying in stories submitted by other writers setting up photo assignments The quality and difficulty of assignments will be based on how quickly the student can adapt to reporting. Special consideration will be given to students who are planning to pursue a post-secondary education in journalism. Students with extra-curricular involvement in the school newspaper or yearbook are encouraged to write about it on page 2 of the application. PHOTOGRAPHY: The student will take photos of community events, write caption lines, be involved in some technical work i.e. photo shop. Beneficial if the student has their own digital camera.
